Hospital treatment

Under hospital treatment coverage, we reimburse costs related to day treatment and longer hospital stays.

Without a doctor’s referral, we reimburse the fees for visits and consultations with a doctor or nurse related to hospital treatment.

On a doctor’s referral, we reimburse:

• the bed-day fee;
• the cost of hospital treatment, including surgery, minor surgery and treatment in hospital;
• analyses, examinations and treatment procedures related to hospital treatment;
• medicines prescribed and administered during hospital treatment and the additional cost of a private room.

NB! Use of hospital treatment coverage must be agreed with the insurance agent in advance. For hospital services requiring a doctor’s referral, the referral must be issued before the service is received.
